James Buchanan Barnes, also known as, Bucky, is among Marvel Comics' first characters. Created by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby in 1941, Bucky first debuted in Captain America Comics #1 under Marvel's 1940s predecessor, Timely Comics. Bucky is 20-years-old, has brown hair and brown eyes, and bears a distinctly military disposition. At a spritely 5'6", he doesn't cut the most imposing of figures, especially not with his boyish good looks, but underneath his million dollar smile, there's an unmistakable air of danger about him all the same; he's not someone to cross lightly.
